Utah Riders FAQ

Riding Jet Skis in Utah

Which Utah lakes can I ride on?+

Our jet skis are popular at Utah Lake, Deer Creek, Jordanelle, Pineview, Bear Lake, and Lake Powell. Let us know your launch plan at booking and we'll help with the best ramps and conditions.

Do I need a Utah boating license?+

Anyone born after December 31, 1984 must complete the Utah Boater Education Course before operating a motorized vessel. Riders 12–17 must also be supervised. We'll verify certification at pickup — take the free course at stateparks.utah.gov.

What's the AIS (Mussel) inspection?+

Utah requires an Aquatic Invasive Species inspection and decontamination certificate for every launch. Our jet skis come with current AIS paperwork — just present it at the ramp's inspection station.

What's the minimum age to ride?+

You must be 18+ to rent and 16+ with a Utah Boater Education card to operate. Passengers of any age are welcome with a properly fitted life jacket.

When is the Utah jet ski season?+

Utah's prime season runs Memorial Day through late September. We rent year-round when lake temps and conditions allow — Lake Powell is rideable into October.

What about altitude and engine performance?+

Most Utah lakes sit between 4,500 and 7,500 ft. Our Yamaha WaveRunners are tuned for high-altitude performance, so you'll get full power on every ride.
